SD TRAINING GROUP DEVELOPMENT WORKOUTS

This program is designed to provide advanced and intense skill development through a team environment.
SD Training is focused on teaching athletes the importance of when, where, why and how to apply the skills taught in a game scenario.
This is a weekly program where each workout will have a different theme for skill development.

UNSTOPABLE 1 ON 1
A good offensive player always has the advantage.

HANDLE THE ROCK
Innovative ball handling and dribbling.

FROM THE FEET UP
Footwork drills for offense and defense.

BALL IN THE AIR, FEET IN THE AIR
Triple threat concepts.

DROP A DIME
Passing circuit.

SHOOTER’S PARADISE
Shooting form, off the pass, off the dribble, off a cut.

OWN THE PAINT
Post play.

GET A STOP
1 on 1 and team defensive principles.

ALWAYS ON THE MOVE
Team motion and spacing on offense.

AGE GROUPS
JUNIOR 8-13 years
SENIOR14-18 years

SESSION 1 SCHEDULE
Mondays 6:30-8:30pm
Sept 10-Dec 17 (excluding Oct 8th) 14 Weeks, $450

SENIORS
Saturdays 12:30-2:30pm
Sept 8-Dec 15, 14 Weeks, $450

HOW TO REGISTER
1. Download the Registration form and fill it out
2. Come out to the REGISTRATION DAY + WORKOUT Aug 25th
3. Hand in Form along with payment OR if you cannot make it Aug 25th mail in form and cheque (email us to make sure there is still room in the program!)

The Off Season is your opportunity to get in the gym and improve your game! Getting outside the box is the theme for our Off Season Development Program.
There are many scenarios in a game where a player is forced into an uncomfortable situation, these tend to be make or break plays.
Our objective is to create an environment where players are forced to encounter challenging situations through our style of training and the creativity of the drills.
It is a fantastic opportunity for a one-of-a-kind basketball skills experience.

WHEN I CATCH BEWARE.
Triple threat concepts.
EMPOWER YOUR OFFENSIVE GAME.
Advanced 1 on 1 skill work.
INSIDE THE BASKET.
1 foot and 2 foot finishes around the rim.
GET YOUR FEET RIGHT, GET YOUR GAME RIGHT.
Footwork drills.
CREATE SPACE FROM THE DEFENSE, TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUR OFFENSE.
Step backs, pull-backs, dribble jabs, retreat dribble.
PUT THE DEFENDER ON THE DEFENSIVE.
Take away their athleticism. Attacking the body of the defender.
I MAKE SHOTS.
Off the pass, off the dribble, on the move, standstill, misdirection,
using the defender and screens. A plethora of shooting activity.
IT’S A GAME OF MULTI TASKING. SO LET’S TRAIN THAT WAY.
Tennis ball drills, 2 ball drills, blindfolds. Turn your discomfort into a strength.
GOTTA BE IN SHAPE TO PLAY.
